Interview: Laura Guzman on CleanTech Startups and Working With Co-Op Students

Hydra's Director of Government Affairs and Partnerships, Laura Guzman, recently sat down with Innovate BC to speak about Cleantech startups, and using the Tech Co-Op Grants Program to hire a co-op student.

Innovate BC is a Crown Agency that represents the BC government with a goal of funding, supporting, and building connections in the innovation ecosystem.

Q: What made you apply for the Tech Co-op Grants Program?

Laura: The Tech Co-op Grants Program offers a great opportunity for both tech students and cleantech companies. It has allowed us to hire talented students to support smaller-scale tasks that are complementary to the core R&D tasks. This grant program trains tech students while also improving the efficiency of our technical team, enabling them to focus on core tasks.
